Random Things of Last Week

It’s been 6 days, 18 hours, 20 minutes and 10 seconds since the last time I blog, hehe.. And it’s kinda odd for me not to start the day in my cube parking on my blog, hehe funny but it’s true… bet all bloggers out there agree with me too ( I see you smiling now..hehe). C’mon you guys, admit it, every little thing that’s happening to you, from your droll down to your dull moments, blog won’t miss your list, it would definitely crossed your mind. And bet you’re already thinking of the subject and words already jumping in your head.… Hehe, I knew it coz I speak for myself. ^_^ ’

Sediments of this minute

- I missed my blog, quite busy these past few days (till this week perhaps) and yet still haven’t got a clue for the problem in one of our client in Australia, not to mention the training that we still have to attend later this afternoon. Nevertheless, for me this is a blessing, I’d rather have those loads than just sit around, wait for the clock to tick at 5 without having to do something worthwhile. ^_^

- Feeling so sick because of a sudden change in climate, even my flu’s already confused. Kidding aside, it really gives me headache so kindly make up your mind! hehehehe

Full House at 30 (Tuesday)

Full House? It has nothing to do with the Korean novella, but I love this saga, this would definitely soothe your restless day. Got to smirk every time I hear “stapidam stapididam stapidapidapidapididam”. Hehe. Moving along, our RM is finally back, he just came from his two-days-leave to move into his own house. What’s the relevance? Umm, got a notion of building my own house too, it just came over me Hehe… I know it’s not right to boast but if God would permit, I wanted to have my own house at 30 or earlier, much better!!! As I can recall, we were asked to draw our dream house back in highschool. Back then, I drew a big mansion, with pool on the side, large veranda, and the like but now, everything had changed, so expect another change might be 2 to 3 years from now,hehe.. This very hour (03-21-05 9:30:28), I sought to have a not-too-big-not-too-small 3-storey house in my 30’s. Hehe… I like to have glassed windows, small garden at the back, pent house, and parking space for my car. Hahahaha… And the setting should be absolutely relaxing, an ambience that would surely make every sunrise worth starting for. Looking forward to have an address in Tagaytay, hehehe… Whew, got a long long way to come up with that reverie.(lol) Would that mean bye wants for now? Nah, that’s why I’m here (not blogging but working :) ) it comes with the plan, this way would stimulate my nerves to enjoy work and at the same time work real hard. And besides, at no other time in our lives would dreaming be as sweet and thrilling. Anything is absolutely possible, so long as you have the attitude. Our tomorrow can be whatever we want it to be! Who knows, you can be one of the country’s nobles! There isn’t one surefire way to reach for your stars. It all depends on whose stars it is. Right off the bat, no matter how far or barely you are now to your stars, you have several options to grab a bite. Just remember the virtue of perseverance, and once you’re there befriend humility and modesty! Good luck on your endeavors!

Sis’s Grad (Friday)

After November’s parting time, here’s another grad day for our family. Our youngest just graduated from her high school days last Friday. We were all gathered in the sala and took this time to reminisce all our school days in Malate the night before. A ton of fun coz we hark back to the Malate days (FYI. siblings and other cousins are all graduates of Malate). It’s been a long year, I might say… We’re just a little kids back then, roaming around don’t even care of the world ahead of us, but now looking how far we’ve gone, made me realized how blessed my life was/is. My father would always cry-out “1 down, 2 down” whenever one of us graduate… And now, it is 2 ½ down already… 4 years to go to make it 3. ^_^ (2 coz my bro and I already graduated from college, ½ coz waiting for my sis to graduate for her 4-year-nursing-course). Four years from now, the grad portrait hanged on our wall would be complete, from kinder down to college. Way way to go!! Salute to my mom and dad!

Disaster Strikes (Saturday)

Like every Saturday night’s setting, I went to hear Saturday Mass, and did little act of service. We were only four in the BTL and Daysers choir that time, 3 choir members (that includes me, ^_^) and 1 pianist. Worst is, I am the only girl among the singers plus the rest (2) were alto, I’d rather choose not to sing at all, hehe, it would be a lot lot better to sing it by heart (lol). It was already quarter to seven that signals the start of the mass, and yet other members haven’t arrived. One of the guys (sorry, forgot his name..), placed the microphone in front of me and to my surprise I said laughing “Hala, huwag s akin”, later that I realized it wasn’t working so we just laughed, asa naman ako! hahaha Good thing, Nonie arrived the last minute, so we started the mass, having 4 of us sang the entrance hymn, not that bad (lol), I made a little mistake, my third so far, hahaha. Then the rest arrived a minute ago. There was a “drama” during the gospel reading where the priest played the character of Jesus, lector1 as Pilate, lector2 as the narrator, and of course the choir (us) as the taong bayan. Worst comes to worst, we weren’t aware of the role we’re going to portray. The dialogue was written on a missalette, however none of us had the copy. Even the projector wasn't working, a manifestation that we were really prepared, umm, just that it's not obvious. hehehe.. That way, we ended up stuttering. One of us (better not to reveal her name, hehe), hurried through the hallway to grab a copy and to her disgrace, her sandals broke, that left her walked on tiptoe, not bad at least we got a chance to participate in the drama. Hehe…Our hero!!! All these works even in our own little ways all the way to our worst are more than enough to serve the Lord! ^_^ Anyway, He’ll understand, that I am sure of! ^_^

Feast of Lord’s Passion (Sunday)

Together with my best buds (mom and sis), we went to hear mass, got to be ready for it’s a palaspas day. Catholics bring their decked and ornamented palaspas to church to be blessed by the priests. It is always a sight to behold when family were all gathered, kids like from ten below clutched those palm leaves as if those were a priceless procession. However, it is not the palm leaves that we should be mindful of, but the meaning why we’re celebrating such event. One of our neighbors gave us fresh palm leaves straight from their garden. My mom and her thrift tactics transformed these dull palm leaves into life, hehe. As for her thrift tactics, remember the grad of my sister? she make used of my sister’s corsage, sampaguita and other thingies there to embellish the palm leaves into a palaspas. Hahaha

Moving along, we are celebrating not just the “Palm Sunday” but the Feast of Lord’s Passion, thus we should pay our attention not to the striking leaves but to the gospel. As for the homily, there are four things that were stressed out to start our Holy Week: (kept those in my heart ^_^)

1. take time for silence
For the world is already loud and noisy. We must engage ourselves to a moment of silence, for God speaks through the silence of our hearts. As they say, every good thing is within each individual's heart, but only through learning to listen to your heart can the potential of this good thing be realized.

2. slow down
Right this very minute, bet you’re busy doing other businesses. Slow down, be it your work from office or in school, take time to relax and reflect. You’ve been busy these past few days, why not give the Lord what is due to Him, besides He deserves all your time in this world, and yet He’s just asking for no less than an hour of you.

3. begin you day with a prayer
Start every sunrise with a prayer. Utter words like “Thank you Lord for another life”., something like that, words so simple yet very profound. See, how your day works with God!

4. journey with Christ
As Mary, John, and Magdalene did when Jesus carried His cross to Calvary. Just the same,, explore the implications of following Jesus’ cross and share your faith with others.

This Holy Week, “Mahal na araw” as we call it, may we find time to search for Jesus’ cross or at least allow Him to find us. Learn by heart the price we get from the ransom He paid for our sins, not only during Holy week but to every sunrise and sunset of our lives. ^_^ Have a blessed week!
